Joseph Labrum, M.D.

Dr. Joseph Labrum is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, fellowship-trained in sports medicine, with clinical interests in conditions of the shoulder, elbow, and knee.

His shoulder interests include primary and revision shoulder replacement, tendon transfers, arthroscopic shoulder surgery, and shoulder instability. His elbow interests include arthroscopic elbow surgery, tendon and ligament repair and reconstruction—including Tommy John surgery and UCL reconstruction—and elbow arthritis. His knee interests include knee replacement, cartilage restoration, osteotomy, and knee ligament and tendon repair and reconstruction. He also provides fracture care for the upper and lower extremities.

Dr. Labrum earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Utah, graduating summa cum laude. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He then completed an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Andrews Orthopedic Institute in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

Prior to joining Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists, Dr. Labrum has been practicing as a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon with Rockwood Orthopedic Clinic/MultiCare Health System in Spokane. He has also served as a team physician for Eastern Washington University Athletics and the Spokane Chiefs.

Dr. Joseph Labrum will be joining the NWOS team in September 2026.
