Bryan S. Mitchell, M.D.

Dr. Bryan S. Mitchell is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, fellowship-trained in sports medicine. He specializes in the treatment of sports-related and other orthopedic conditions of the hip, knee, and shoulder, with extensive experience in arthroscopic surgery.

Dr. Mitchell has particular expertise in hip arthroscopy, including labral repair and reconstruction and the treatment of femoroacetabular impingement (FAI). His practice also includes shoulder arthroscopy for instability, rotator cuff tears, and biceps pathology, as well as knee ligament reconstruction, meniscus preservation, and cartilage restoration.

Dr. Mitchell earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and his Doctor of Medicine from Dartmouth College. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Rochester, followed by a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Aspen Sports Medicine Foundation.

Dr. Mitchell has practiced in the Spokane area since 2011. Prior to joining Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists, he has maintained a high-volume orthopedic sports medicine practice with Providence Medical Group, with a primary focus on arthroscopic treatment of hip, knee, and shoulder conditions. He has also served as Medical Director of Providence Surgical & Procedural Center in Spokane Valley, providing clinical leadership in ambulatory surgery center operations, quality, and patient care.

Dr. Bryan Mitchell will be joining the NWOS team in September 2026.
